Number 57: Welcoming visitors

Hello there!

In Number 8: Meeting and greeting, we looked at a couple of useful phrases for meeting someone for the first time. In this post, we’ll look at some phrases for welcoming a visitor to your company:

Being enthusiastic about the visit:
“I’m delighted you could make it today. I’m very much looking forward to showing you around.”
“It’s great that you could find the time to pay us a visit.”

Asking about the journey:
“How was your flight / trip?”
“Did you have any trouble finding us?”

Being a good host:
“Can I get you a coffee?”
“Let me take your coat.”

Maybe you can try them the next time you have an English-speaking visitor!

All the best,
Derek
