About Derek Callan

Originally from Dublin in Ireland, I moved to Innsbruck in 1999 where I began my career as a Professional English Trainer in 2004. Since then I have taught over 10,000 teaching units at in-company level and achieved the following qualifications:

M.A. in English Education

Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Adult Learners (CELTA)

Certificate in International Business English Training (IBET)

My career achievements include working for the three most successful and well-recognized language schools operating in the Tyrol. I have also worked with Cambridge University Press as a materials reviewer and conference speaker.

Over the past fifteen years, I have assisted senior management and their staff in a range of businesses to achieve their language training goals and thus further their international business objectives. Among these clients are many well-known Tyrolean companies such as Swarovski, Die Tiroler Sparkasse, Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahn and Ötztal Tourismus. In addition to my corporate work, I am also employed as an external lecturer at the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI).
